Caregiver Training & Education
The National Family Caregiver Support Program makes it possible to offer free information sessions to caregivers if you are:
- 60 years old or
- Caring for someone who is 60 or older.
Topics covered are:
- Dementia
- Caregiver stress
- Healthy homecare conditions and infection control
- Nutritional advice
- Proper wheelchair use and transferring
- Techniques to help a person who is bed bound
- Oxygen use
No cost respite care is available to care for your loved one during the classes. If you unable to attend, special one on one sessions can be scheduled in your home.
