A primary function of Region VII Area Agency on Aging is to provide community information to assist older adults, caregivers, family members, health care agencies, hospitals, and physicians. In our ten county region in Michigan, we are the first point of access to locate support resources. Other counties and states link to the aging network through ELDERCARE LOCATOR, a national directory assistance program, 1-800-677-1116.
Region VII's friendly and professional staff help connect you with programs for legal services and advice, meals, home care, housing alternatives, and prescription help. They can answer questions about Medicaid, Medicare, long term care, nursing homes, and support groups. Region VII welcomes public comment about senior issues, services, and the job that our agency is doing.
